How To Make Pomegranate Powder

  2. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Peel the fruit, place it on a tray, and put it into the preheated oven.
  4. Leave the fruit in the oven for five hours or up to eight hours so the fruit will dry out completely.

    Turn the fruit every 60 minutes.

  5. The fruit is ready to make into powder when the outside of the fruit feels like leather.

    There shouldn't be any moisture on the outside of the fruit.
  6. Place the pomegranate fruits out of the way and allow to cool for at least twelve hours.
  7. Using a grater, grate the dried pomegranate into a bowl.
  8. Once all the fruit has been grated, grind into powder with a mortar and pestle.
  9. Store the powder in a cool dark location in a small glass container with a fitted lid.
